Shenandoah Property Services provided us with excellent service this Spring. We made arrangements to meet on a weekday at our home to view the yard and scope of work. I was very pleased when the owner of the company, Mr. Lopez, who came to view the property,
arrived at the agreed-upon time.

The work we were having done was an upgrade to the flower beds that are on all sides of the house. Mr. Lopez made some suggestions regarding potentially removing some old shrubs, which we agreed to have him do. This improvement helped the overall appearance of the beds. We marked the location of plants in the beds that were not yet up so as the old mulch was removed and the landscape cover put down, those would still be able to come up later in the spring.

The crew arrived to do the work when scheduled and accomplished the entire job in one day. They were neat, clearing all the old mulch and shrubs from the property when they left. Additionally, Mr. Lopez trimmed one of the trees in the yard and removed all of the debris after completing that task.

Overall, we could not have been more pleased. The price was very reasonable, and we will certainly have this company return as we have more work that needs to be done this spring and summer.

This is to unconditionally recommend Shenandoah Property Services LLC for any kind of landscaping or yard cleanup. My property was in sore need of cleanup and new plants after my gardener fiancé passed away earlier this year.
Found the first company on-line. They did send an estimate, of sorts, but did not coordinate with me a time to do the work. A week or so later, I returned home from a shopping trip to find, to my surprise, two young gentlemen looking around my scraggly plants. Seeing they were from the first company, I attempted to go over with them what they understood was to be done. Neither answered clearly, so I lost patience, and confidence, and sent them away.
The second yard-cleanup-only guy had a small ad in the paper. He could not find my address, despite explicit directions. I told him never mind.

The third company posts regular ads in the local newspapers and has a confidence-inspiring name. A young man came to my home, looked over the work needed, and said he’d get back to me with an estimate. He never did. Never called, Nothing.

The fourth company is well known with several offices and nurseries in the Stephens City/Winchester area. The owner, or one of them, returned my call right away and came over the next day. He was most affable and confidence-inspiring. Gave a verbal estimate and said he’d send it in writing. He never did. Never called. Nothing.

I was about to give up when I saw some gardeners working nearby one evening and asked the Forest Lake Estates manager who they were. Shenandoah Property Services LLC, they’re who you want, Ernie said. Called them. The owners, a husband-and-wife team, Josh and Nancy, called and we set a time for them to come out. They came exactly on time, both well-spoken, dressed neatly and professionally, with confidence-inspiring, congenial personalities. Showed them what I’d like done. A totally understandable, line by line, reasonable estimate arrived an hour or so later by e-mail. We set a time to do the work. Again, they came exactly on time to do the work, again dressed well and exhibiting their pleasing attitudes.

The work done is beautiful. I’ve had them do a couple of additional jobs. Each time, they’ve sent that understandable written estimate, arrived on time to do the work, and done beautiful work. They love what they do, and as Ernie said, they are who you want!

We needed a space leveled in our yard, they worked hard and fast and work was done quickly and the space beautiful!  This is a family business run by a wonderful family.
